My project will be based on outdoor education and how to incorporate it into everyday leaning in the community forest.
The inspiration for this project was from working in a nature school and wish the concepts were incorporated into traditional school systems. As well as being a divers learner growing up an outdoor ed class would have benefited me so much because they do not teach in a traditional way and are outside to learn instead of sitting in a desk for the day.
Mission
My main goal is to explore traditional lessons outside for all students. To do this I will be focusing on how to bring classroom subjects outside. I want to explore how outdoor education will affect students learning environment and how diverse groups can focus on schoolwork. Because most students struggle to focus on a traditional classroom. The children did not need to be contained to a room where they learn.
Main Objective
The objectives of this project will be focusing on the core competencies of learning between grades. This will help the future lesson planning and focus of the children learning about multiple subjects at a time. There will be activities I focus on every week and to create a lesson plan or activities around it. Each week will have a lesson plan for diverse learners to research the benefits for lower income families, disabilities, and special education.
To document the activity and research I have found each week I will post a video online about the topic and how to accommodate diverse learners.
